Q: What are “Tags”?

Tags are used to “tag” your trades with different strategies or keywords so you can search them, or filter them, then run performance on them. For example, if you have 20 trades in your account, of which half use a “Long” strategy and half use a “Day Trading” strategy, you could tag your trades accordingly. Then, when viewing all trades, you can filter your trades by those separate tags and analyze your performance results to see which strategy is more profitable.

R is simple the dollar $ risk per trade. They are used to track trade efficiency and were popularized by Dr. Van Tharp through his best-selling book, Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom. For more information on “R”, please read this guide.
