I am back from a fantastic trip of hiking in Arizona and feeling refreshed and ready for action. In total our group of five drove 1050 miles over five days. Our first day was the toughest, hiking some 15 miles total as we made our way to and explored Havasu falls. From there we helicoptered out and visited the grand canyon, the slot canyons in Page alongside Lake Powell and finished up with a quick stop in Sedona before returning to Phoenix.
Here is a picture of me on a cliff side overlooking Lake Powell (Alstrom point) after off-roading in the middle of nowhere for over an hour. Any of you readers ever visited these sites?
I was originally going to post yesterday but after our flight got delayed five hours, a post became simply wishful thinking. Delta FAIL.
Travels aside, earnings season is among us (read my earnings season guide for some good tips)! Notables today included Tiffany (TIF) missing the mark and Lululemon (LULU) soaring on positive results. Charts of both stocks are included below.
The overall market looks poised to move higher as it clears resistance and claims higher highs. The S&P 500 today even cleared its 10/27/11 high and is now sitting within striking distance of 1300. As long as the latest Europe band-aids hold up and consumer debt continues to rise we should have no problem climbing higher 😉 .
